101 in 1001

So I mentioned in my last post about the Debbie Allen seminar I went to last night. She encouraged us to write down our goals. This isn't the first time I've heard that. Jessica Claire, a photographer I love, shared her list of 101 things she wants to do in the next 1001 days on her blog. It was fun to read through. I guess I'm not that ambitious of a person. I used to be much more so. I used to be much more goal oriented. Don't know what happened to that.
But for some reason, this time, I was motivated to try it. So I started writing things down last night. I like lists. I like to check them off. But this is overwhelming. Debbie Allen said that if you write down your goals, they seep into your subconscious. So I'm just going to see what happens. I'm not going to be primarily motivated by my list. I like to live life, listen to God, and see what happens - be open to opportunities that present themselves.
I've only gotten to 51 goals. I am stuck! I guess I'm pretty content and don't want too much. And some things I want most don't really fit on a list like this - like getting married to the man of my dreams who likely doesn't exist. But it's not like I can work toward that goal. Another reason I'm stuck at 51 is because I've already accomplished a lot of goals in life so far. I've done so many things I've wanted to do so far. So I need your help. Post a comment if you think something else should be added to the list and I'll consider it. And I'm going to keep brainstorming and adding as things come to mind.
Oh - here's the list and I'll update it on this same post as things progress:

Thats an awsome statement and such a good point to make ! Its all about heart motive and why your doing what your doing. We all should encourage each other to go down our list and ask ourselves why....Why is this on my list....why do I want to do this. And see how the desires in our heart presents opportunity for God's Will.
Keep us updated. I've got your rss feed locked in and look forward to reading your posts. (By the way....hope you don't mind that I'm tuning in to your blog. I came across your blog and was intrigued by what you were posting.)
Many blessings !

Hi Melissa,
Making a list of 101 things to do is much harder than it looks i must say :) Great photos and all the best!

One of the sunday school classes at my parents' church (Open Door Fellowship) is actually a story-telling class ... you should look into it!

one of your items on your list of 101 goals should be to finish writing your list of 101 goals:)
The other night Debbie Allen spoke of The Secret (it's a documentary), do you remember? Well, today it was on Oprah. Weird. Anyhow, I didn't watch all of Oprah, but what I got out of it, was to stay postive and to tell yourself the things you want. So if being married to a wonderful man is what you want, why not include it on your list:) It's gonna be on mine.
cheers!

I'm not going to lie, I was a little sad and hurt that "go to Serrano's with Shannon at least once a month" didn't make it on the list.

your 69th goal reminded me of this site:
http://www.soulumination.org
Different topics, but same concept of remembering to put others first and raising awareness. Be forewarned: it may make you cry.

Melissa, I second what Virginia said in her post about including the goal of meeting/marrying your husband. He is out there if you believe he is out there. Check out The Secret if you havent already. It really is transforming.
Thanks for inspiring me to write my list down. I've been keeping most of my goals in my head, or only doing this each Jan, but its good to expand this list like this.

Some of the cuisines one must try while on Himachal North India vacations are creamkhoi, momos, muri, Jadoh and more. The traditional way of honeymoon dining in the region are sitting down on the floor with food is served on banana-leaf plates.
